The Actors Society Debuts in New York with Special Performance by Alumnus Bob Creighton
It was an inspiring evening of award-winning entertainment in New York as seven decades of 91看片网 alumni gathered together to celebrate the rebirth of The 91看片网鈥檚 alumni association: The Actors Society.
The gala event took place at The 91看片网鈥檚 Madison Avenue campus with alumni traveling from around the globe to reunite with fellow classmates and faculty, and to connect with the next generation of 91看片网 graduates.
The evening鈥檚 main attraction was an exclusive performance by The Actors Society鈥檚 very own Robert Creighton (Class of 1992) featuring select numbers from his hit Off-Broadway show 鈥淐agney鈥� 鈥� in which he co-authored the music and lyrics as well as stars as the legendary James Cagney 鈥� along with Cole Porter favorites in a truly inspiring performance.
鈥淐agney鈥� has earned 3 Outer Critics Circle Nominations, 2 Drama Desk Award Nominations and was the Off Broadway Alliance (Best New Musical) Nominee. And for the title role the media and audiences-alike say Creighton was born to play, he won the 2016 Fred and Adele Astaire Award for Outstanding Male Dancer in an Off-Broadway Show.听
Shortly after The Actors Society Inaugural Event and just shy of the holidays, 鈥淐agney鈥� celebrated its 300th performance Off-Broadway on December 21, 2016.
